SEED for Myanmar
Educate, Engage, Empower
THE FOUNDING OF SEED
In the mid-2016, Dr. Hein Paing Htoo Chit started a library in Yangon to bring youth together for their development. The organization started its journey in Mawlamyine by the small grant from Advancing Leaders Fellowship in 2016. In 2017, the organization gained temporary registration, and then permanent registration in 2018 February. In late 2018, SEED for Myanmar becomes a Build Peace Fellow organization of Build Up. To date, SEED has trained over 2,000 youth and young people from Southeast Myanmar to become active citizens, responsible leaders and social entrepreneurs.
SEED is steered by a group of young professionals helping youth to visualize their futures, build the skills and create a better future for all.

Developing Youth Change Agents
I am very satisfied with "Youth Entrepreneurship for Social Justice" Training because I realized my values through this, and I could start an enterprise that aligned with my values. I had also been able to think how to lead the business.
Naing Oo, Founder of Poe Mon Traditional Restaurant
I realized the need to get out of the comfort zone and from the condition of not knowing where to start doing things I want to do. I began to pursue my dream and start to make money out of it.
Pyae Thu Tun, Graphic Designer (MISY)
I have learned a lot during my volunteering service. Especially, I gained interpersonal skills. Even though I were not much aware about myself before, my attitudes changes as I stayed with SEED for Myanmar.
Nan Thazin Phyo, Mawlamyine University
I attended Skills for Success. Before that, I only do what other people do. Now, I have realized that I started to lead myself. My interpersonal skills are also getting a lot better.
Hay Mann Hnin Ei Soe, Technological University (Mawlamyine)
SEED for Myanmar is a place where my soft skills are developed. After I joined SEED for Myanmar, I've got network with active, happy and clever youths around Mon State. Moreover, I gained some volunteer experiences. I am really proud to be a SEEDian.
